Start Airdrop Research Safely | Airdroplet

A beginner path for wallets, networks, fees, permissions, eligibility, claims, and scam avoidance.

Start with a decision, not a wallet connection

An airdrop is uncertain compensation, not free money. Before acting, identify the reward state, the current campaign, what still counts, the expected cost, the capital at risk, and the official action domain.

Use a separate wallet

Do not use the wallet that protects your main holdings. Record its recovery phrase offline, never enter that phrase into a website, and check the selected network before every signature.

Know what the wallet prompt does

  • Signature: proves wallet control and should not move assets by itself.
  • Approval: lets a contract spend a token; limit and revoke it when possible.
  • Deposit, bridge, swap, stake, or lock: exposes capital and can fail or lose value.
  • Claim: receives an allocation but may still require gas and tax reporting.

Use the lowest-risk route first

Begin with the no-deposit list or a short researched task. Skip any action you would not take without the possibility of a token.

Stop immediately when

A page asks for a seed phrase, an official domain changes unexpectedly, the wallet prompt does not match the stated task, geography rules exclude you, or the required capital exceeds your planned loss limit.
