Stride ($STRD) token is now running TWO airdrops. In this guide, we gathered the airdrops details and guide you through the step-by-step process to participate and maximize your chances of receiving the airdrop. See how you can get involved here.
What is Stride?
Stride is a Cosmos chain project that focuses on providing liquidity for staked tokens. You can liquid stake your tokens from any Cosmos chain using Stride. Using Stride, you can earn both staking and DeFi yields across the Cosmos IBC ecosystem. Users receive staked tokens immediately when they liquid stake. Rewards accumulate in real time to staked token holders. These staked tokens can be freely traded, and can be redeemed with Stride at any time to receive back native tokens plus staking rewards.
Stride plans to rapidly expand reach throughout the Cosmos ecosystem and to support all IBCv3-compatible tokens as “st”-Tokens. They are now onboarding dYdX ($stDYDX) and Celestia ($stTIA), so holders of these tokens may now be benefited from the airdrops.
#1 stDYDX airdrop! 150,000 $STRD to dYdX ($stDYDX) holders
What is the $stDYDX airdrop?
Stride recently announced a 120-day airdrop of 150,000 $STRD tokens. To be eligible for the airdrop, you need to hold dYdX ($stDYDX) tokens over the specified period. Stride allows users to liquid stake their tokens from any Cosmos chain, providing opportunities to earn both staking and DeFi yields.
How to Participate in the Airdrop?
1. Hold dYdX ($stDYDX)
- Hold dYdX ($DYDX) tokens either in your Keplr wallet or Leap wallet
- If you don’t have any dYdX ($DYDX) tokens, you can swap $OSMO or any other assets to get $DYDX at Osmosis
- Make sure the tokens are in Stride networks, you may bridge tokens from Osmosis network to Stride network at ibc or Astroport.
2. Liquid Staking on Stride
- Visit the Stride App Zone and stake your $DYDX tokens in exchange for $stDYDX
- You can get nearly 15%APY by staking $DYDX, and receive $stDYDX tokens
#2 stTIA airdrop! 5,000,000 $STRD to TIA ($stTIA) holders
What is the $stTIA airdrop?
5,000,000 STRD (5% of the token supply), is being allocated TIA ($stTIA) holders over 150 days.
The 150-day airdrop period will be broken up into two phases: phase one and phase two. 5M STRD will be allocated to users holding stTIA according to the following table:
Used case: If you hold 100 $stTIA on Day 1. There is a total of 40,000 $stTIA, so you held 0.25% of all $stTIA on Day 1. In the first 60 days, there is 50,000 $STRD allocated per day, that means your allocation for Day 1 is 125 $STRD.
How to Participate in the Airdrop?
1. Hold TIA ($stTIA)
- Acquire TIA ($stTIA) using the Stride protocol app, or by swapping for it on a DEX.
- If you don’t have any TIA ($stTIA) tokens, you can swap $OSMO or any other assets to get $stTIA at Osmosis
- Make sure the tokens are in Stride networks, you may bridge tokens from Osmosis network to Stride network at ibc
2. Liquid Staking on Stride
- Early Bird Allocation: To maximize your rewards, be sure to stake your TIA ($stTIA) tokens before February 5th, as this is an early bird allocation period.
- Additional Airdrop Opportunities: After February 5th, you can explore other options like depositing on Osmosis DEX or Astroport DEX to continue earning rewards.
- Monitor Airdrop Rankings: Visit the Stride Leaderboard and check the periodic snapshots to see your ranking and the number of points you have accumulated.
- Distribution: The Stride airdrop becomes claimable 180 days after allocation. As allocation happens daily, distribution will also happen daily. So 180 days after each day you are allocated $STRD, you will be able to claim that $STRD. Once claimed, your tokens are fully liquid.
